Ski trips for independent skiers with a disability.

Next years ski trip will hopefully be to La Plagne from the 6th to 13th of March 2021, it is open to all disabled skiers and boarders who must be able to ski blue and red runs confidently and independently to be considered for a place on a Snow Buddies trip.

Jumbulance Trust

JUMBULANCE is a charity that provides specialist transport for people with a disability, whether minor or sever, and runs an annual adapted ski trip to Niederau in Austria each year.   Travel is overnight from multiple locations in the UK by Jumbulance – a purposes built accessible coach/ambulance, with lift platform, beds, accessible washroom and full kitchen, which allows those whose condition precludes flying the opportunity to travel, without restriction on travel, baggage, etc.   Qualified instructors, adapted equipment, volunteer helpers/nurses/skiers are provided and accommodation is half board in 4* hotel.  The JUMBULANCE vehicles are also available for groups, clubs, schools, etc who want to enjoy adapted skiing but flying is not an option.  For more information visit www.jumbulance.org.uk or contact Richard Field on 07801 257036 or richardfield555@gmail.com

Access Adventures

 

For intermediate adaptive skiers/ riders wanting to improve skills on groomers, steeps, powder, bumps, or in the terrain park. You need to be fairly independent on chairlifts and make confident linked turns. Coaching from ex-Paralympic skiers.
